Make The Most Of Your Membership

1. Attend our branch and Annual Meetings.
2. Connect with Congress and get involved with activities of our  Science Policy Office.
3. Get involved in activities in your division of interest.
4. Publish and present research as a way to advance your career.
5. Read CSA News and the News Flash for more opportunities.
6. Connect with colleagues through the Membership Directory (login required) and Scientific Expertise Directory.

Volunteer

Consider volunteering to serve ASA-CSSA-SSSA in a variety of capacities, which include committee service, division activities, or serving as a journal reviewer/editor. The presidents-elect make appointments, and terms generally begin after the Annual Meetings.

  • A Soils Exhibit called Dig It! The Secrets of Soil opened at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC on July 19, 2008. The display will have a 1.5 year run at the museum before becoming a traveling exhibit to be displayed at 10 venues across the country. Dig It! features a display of state monoliths, interactive exhibits, and models explaining the properties and uses of soil.
