ASA Distinguished Service Award

 

The American Society of Agronomy Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual or team who has made a transformational contribution to the profession of agronomy. This award recognizes development of agronomic service programs, practices, and products for acceptance by the public. The focus will be on agronomic service with associated educational, public relations, administrative contributions, and efforts as member(s) of the American Society of Agronomy.

Evaluation:

  1. Effectiveness of public relations activities designed to promote the understanding and use of agronomic science and technology by the public, the government, and other organized groups.
  2. Advances in the science, practice, and status of the profession resulting from administrative skill and effort.
  3. Efforts as member(s) of the American Society of Agronomy.

The award consists of a certificate, a complimentary ticket to the award ceremony, and $2,000.
