Greenfield Scholars

 

This program, sponsored by ASA and the International Certified Crop Adviser Program, develops the agronomy, crops, soils, and environmental science professions by strengthening the next generation of leaders in the profession.  Students from across the world in associate or bachelor's degree programs intending to enter the industry and pursue the Certified Crop Adviser/Certified Professional Agronomist are considered.

Benefits to Recipients

  • Become part of a network of current students and alumni who stand out in the fields of Agronomy, Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science.
  • Network with a mentor who will be a working professional and CCA from within your geographic region.
  • Receive financial support to attend the ASA, CSSA, and SSSA Annual Meeting.
  • Participate in Greenfield scholar-specific Sessions at the Annual Meeting.
  • Receive one free year of membership in the Societies.
  • Attend a local meeting or conference of professional interest with their mentor
  • All Greenfield Scholars will be invited to attend an all-expenses-paid trip to Congressional Visits Day the following spring.

Up to 5 Greenfield Scholars will be selected for the Institute Class of 2024.

 

Selected scholars will have the opportunity to present at the 2024 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX with their abstract fees waived. They will be required to submit an abstract between March 19th through July 9th.
