The Annual Meeting always provides a venue for collaboration and networking among Agronomy Professionals and students in the Southern Region. It is an excellent opportunity for students to present their research findings and talk with professionals in their area of research/interest. The meeting is held in conjunction with the Southern Association of Agricultural Scientists (SAAS) meeting.

Professional Awards

Awards will be given in the areas of Education, Research, and Technology Transfer. These awards recognize outstanding scientists with at least 10 years of professional service (after completion of the terminal degree) in agronomy, crop science, soil science, environmental science, or a closely related discipline. Candidates must be a ASA members and active at the National and Southern Branch levels. Any active ASA member may submit a nomination. The format of these awards follows the one used for equivalent awards presented at the national level such as the Agronomic Resident Education Award, Agronomic Extension Award, and the Agronomic Research Award.

Submit Your Abstract

Poster competitions will be held Feb 4 and graduate student competitions will take place on Feb 5. Both sessions will have monetary prizes! This is a great opportunity for students to gain presentation experience.

Professional scientists will present their research in poster format Feb 4 and oral presentations on Feb 6.
