Welcome to the News & Media page of the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), a prominent, international scientific society whose more than 8,000 members are dedicated to producing food, feed, and fiber crops, while protecting the environment and making wise use of natural resources. Founded in 1907, ASA celebrated its centennial in 2007.
ASA is also part of the Alliance of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science Societies (ACSESS): a nonprofit organization providing management and administrative, support services to founding members, ASA, the Crop Science Society of America (CSSA) and the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA). The headquarters office is in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
